Function

The function of CRHRE-UI or PPSML-UI as reflected by its name is to conduct a research on human resources and environment. Furthermore as an institution inside of University of Indonesia, CRHRE-UI has a mission called TRIDARMA PERGURUAN TINGGI which consist of a task for education or training, research, and public service. Main task of CRHRE-UI are:

• Research
  Within the research area, CRHRE-UI conducting research on environmental issues such as environmental biology, environmental economic, socio-cultural environmental research, environmental law research, environmental health, environmental technology, environmental education, environmental geography, and others. Beside that, various applied studies had been conducted such as Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Audit, Public Consultation or Participation, biodiversity study, water and air quality study, hazardous waste, social survey, local autonomy, environmental institutions, and various legal aspect of environmental management.
• Education and Training
  Within the area of education, CRHRE-UI is supporting the activity of Program Study of Environmental Science at postgraduate level. Beside that, CRHRE-UI conducting training program on the area of environment such as Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Audit, Integrated Environmental Management, training on environmental management and evaluation, and other Environmental training programs. The training packages separated into regular training, executive training, in-house training, and also can be conducted following and based on the agreement between the partners.
• Public Service
  Within the public service area, CRHRE-UI conducted environmental campaign and information dissemination, community development, relation or acts socialization, seminars, workshops, and acts a resource institution of government agencies or private companies. CRHRE-UI acted also as expert team in EIA Commission to evaluate various research reports and environmental documents. The level of involvement occurred in at national level, provincial, regency levels. Beside that CRHRE has an environmental library and environmental laboratory and gives assistance thru consultation on environmental problems.
